A postdoctoral position is available in the Eppley Institute for Research in Cancer and Allied Diseases at the University of Nebraska Medical Center (http://www.unmc.edu/Eppley/) to join NIH supported project. We use X-ray crystallography and a variety of biophysical and biochemical methods to understand the structural basis of transcriptional initiation and elongation in eukaryotes (http://www.unmc.edu/Eppley/faculty/f_tahirov.htm). A Ph.D. with a strong background in molecular biology, biochemistry, and an extensive experience in cloning, expression in E-coli and insect cells, and purification of proteins is required.
